Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Kan (the “Company”) and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users.

1. Definitions

The following terms have the meanings set forth below:

  • Service: The Kan mobile application and related services provided by the Company
  • User: Any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms
  • Content: All information, data, text, images, etc. provided through the Service

2. Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms

  1. These Terms become effective for all users who wish to use the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms as necessary within the scope permitted by applicable laws.
  3. If the Terms are amended, the Company will notify users through in-service announcements at least 7 days before the effective date.
  4. If users do not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue using the Service and withdraw their membership.

3. Provision and Modification of Service

  1. The Company provides the following services:

    • Task management and tracking
    • Progress visualization
    • Notifications and reminders
    • Data synchronization and backup
  2. The Company may modify the content of the Service and will announce such changes in advance.

  3. The Company may conduct regular or irregular system maintenance as necessary for Service provision.

4. Registration and Account Management

  1. Users apply for membership registration following the procedures established by the Company.
  2. Users must immediately update any changes to the information provided during registration.
  3. Users are responsible for securely managing their account information.
  4. If users discover unauthorized use of their account, they must immediately notify the Company.

5. User Obligations

Users must not engage in the following activities:

  • Misappropriating or fraudulently using others’ personal information
  • Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or transmission of information obtained through the Service
  • Infringing upon the Company’s copyrights, third-party copyrights, or other rights
  • Distributing content that violates public order and morals
  • Disrupting the stable operation of the Service
  • Distributing false information

6. Service Usage Restrictions

The Company may take measures such as warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent suspension if users violate these Terms or disrupt normal Service operation.

  1. Copyright for all content provided by the Company within the Service belongs to the Company.
  2. Copyright for content created by users belongs to the users.
  3. Users agree that the Company may use content created through the Service for purposes such as Service operation, improvement, and promotion.

8. Limitation of Liability

  1. The Company is exempt from liability if unable to provide the Service due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or suspension of telecommunications services.
  2. The Company is not liable for Service usage disruptions caused by users’ own fault.
  3. The Company is not liable for users’ failure to obtain or loss of expected profits through Service use.

9. Dispute Resolution

  1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. In the event of a dispute between the Company and users regarding Service use, both parties shall make good faith efforts to resolve it through consultation.
  3. Disputes not resolved through consultation shall be resolved in the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

10. Miscellaneous

Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and customary practices.
